Gokou's older brother, Raditz shows up at the beginning of Dragon Ball Z. He confronts Gokou and tells him that he is in fact his brother, and that he is a Saiyan. He asks Gokou if he wants to join him in conquering the world, and when Gokou refuses, he kidnaps Gohan instead (note: He also tells Gokou that if he ever wants to see his son again, he will have to kill 100 people within a day, which was not in the American version) Piccolo teams up with Goku to find Raditz. Raditz, along with Gokou, is killed during the fight by Piccolo.
