The God of Earth, Kami-Sama (Kami) lives on a lookout post above the earth with his assistant, Popo. At one time, he and Piccolo were one in the same, but he had to get rid of his evil half (Piccolo) to become the next Kami. He splits into two forms, one being the Kami, and the other being Piccolo. That is how Piccolo exists. That is also why if Piccolo dies, Kami does the same. Kami-Sama is also one of Gokou's many trainers, and like Kaio-Sama, is a mentor to him (but to a much lesser extent). Later, he and Piccolo fuse back together in order to defeat androids #16, #17 and #18, becoming one person again.
