The last surviving member of the Red Ribbon Army, Dr. Gero is a mad scientist and the creator of the androids. He makes the androids for only one purpose, to kill Son Gokou. Dr. Gero had a deep hate for Gokou for destroying his precious army, and wanted him dead at any cost. In order to do this, he creates Androids #16, #17, #18, and #19. Dr. Gero created all of these androids after studying Gokou for years (except for the battle on Namek) so they would know all of his attacks before he would use them. Later, he gets #19 to make him into an android as well. Dr. Gero is killedthough, (got his head kicked off) by his own creation, Android #17, after he annoyed the androids too much.
